With the arrival of spring, hustle and bustle has begun in Hietalahti, as vessels arrive at Helsinki Shipyard for smaller and larger repair projects. An observant eye may have spotted for example tug Sami, the splitbarges Boann and Siann, and the heavy cargo ship Meri in the Hietalahti basin.
After the summer, the shipyard will start to build newbuildings again, when the first shipment of the blocks for two luxury exploration cruise vessels arrive from our subcontractor in August. Production of the first vessel will begin in Klaipeda in week 18, and the keel laying will be at Helsinki shipyard in September.
The luxury exploration cruise vessels will be delivered to the customers in 2021 and 2022.
