Esko Karvonen, the shipyard’s chief operating officer, is appointed President and CEO of Helsinki Shipyard Oy as of February 1st

Carl-Gustaf Rotkirch, who has served as President and CEO of Helsinki Shipyard, became a member of the company’s Board of Directors taking responsibility for stakeholder relations.

Rotkirch, who has been the shipyard’s CEO since the establishment of Helsinki Shipyard Oy, became a member of the shipyard’s board as of February 1, 2021. Rotkirch’s special task on the Board will be to develop and maintain stakeholder relations both with customers and with the City of Helsinki and state officials.

Esko Karvonen started as the shipyard’s CEO on February 1, 2021.

Esko Karvonen started at Helsinki Shipyard on August 6, 2019 as the yard’s Chief Operating Officer (COO). Prior to joining Helsinki Shipyard, Karvonen has worked in international business development and management positions in the shipbuilding industry.
